We currently have an opportunity for a Manager of Product Commercialization (Temporary Assignment) to support our Hefty team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

The Product Commercialization Manager will work within the Hefty Business Unit and work closely with Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing and Engineering on new product development and product changes. The Product Manager will own the material master and shepherd the PCR process of the creation & maintenance of products. The incumbent will also act as the Project Manager for Marketing as it relates to portfolio management and will lead meetings, drive SKU rationalization and manage the first step of the S&OP process (the Portfolio Management Review).

 You will have the opportunity to:

  • Find the most direct path to item creation
  • Initiate new product development requests
  • Help define marketing strategy and direction
  • Lead monthly high-level meetings to effectively manage the product portfolio

Ultimately, you will recommend enhancements, research, pricing, customer demand, analysis, and reporting that will drive our product forward so that we are constantly innovating.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, a related field, or qualified experience
  • 8+ years of Manufacturing and/or Operations
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Proficiency in SAP and Visio

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Prior experience in the consumer packaged goods industry
