If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a Training Manager to join our team located in Jacksonville, IL.

Your Role:

As a Training Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of trainers and developing training curriculum for new hires and existing production personnel.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to facilitate leadership development training across all levels of the organization. The Training Manager will lead programs and initiatives designed to engage and retain employees.  You will collaborate with the Human Resources and Production teams to align on hiring and staffing targets. Also, you will lead upskill programs to develop our production floor leaders, enhance the new hire experience, and manage the criteria related to our job level progression career program. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead a team of Training Coordinators who facilitate new hire training.
  • Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and team to develop them to their full potential.
  • Ensure all team members are trained and compliant with all safety policies, standards and expectations.  
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to develop and deliver hands-on training content for our team members.
  • Development and deliver leadership training courses to help support the growth of our leaders.
  • Manage the skills development program that will enable ongoing bench strength for our manufacturing teams.
  • Seek out and coordinate grant funding opportunities to assist with training programs.
  • Provide technical writing assistance to support the creation of SOP’s for the facility. 
  • Partner with Production Supervisors and Training Coordinators to evaluate strengths and weaknesses throughout the plant and provide training solutions to close gaps. 
  • Partners and collaborates with leaders on developing training and readiness of team members for new equipment in the facility. 
  • Lead and coordinate quarterly skill review sessions to ensure consistency of the level evaluation process. 
  • Ensure skills development training documents are current and up to date.

We need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education or HR-related degree.
  • 5+ years of a strong track record of designing and implementing leadership and technical training programs.
  • Ability to evaluate culture, organizational capability and technical strength to deliver effective training and learning programs within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to present effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with MS Office products.

  • Knowledge, understanding, and passion for continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in manufacturing or a fast-paced environment.
