We are searching for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing the Company’s financial statements. The position will play an integral role on the Company’s financial leadership team regarding technical accounting matters related to US GAAP and SEC regulations. This position is critical to supporting GAAP compliance by analyzing and implementing accounting guidance, developing and maintaining global accounting policies, and determining proper accounting treatment for both complex and non-routine transactions. In addition, the role collaborates with all facets of the business, including Investor Relations, Treasury, Legal and FP&A. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the preparation of financial reports on Forms 10Q and 10K, including US GAAP financial statements and disclosures, MD&A and other SEC reporting requirements in accordance with filing requirements.
  • Prepare electronic filings with the SEC via EDGAR and XBRL.
  • File Form 8K and any other required SEC filings, in collaboration with the legal department.
  • Perform monthly/quarterly reporting of financial results to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Provide support to Investor Relations in the preparation of earnings releases and analyst presentations.
  • Support the external audit, including quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audit.
  • Research technical accounting matters and SEC requirements and assist with the company-wide implementation of new accounting pronouncements and reporting requirements. Identify, assess and document the account implications of non-routine transactions and provide technical guidance on ad hoc company initiatives.
  • Provide support for special projects, including M&A, as needed.
  • Assist in the monthly consolidation process as needed.
  • Provide support in process documentation, internal controls testing in support of RCP’s SOX compliance and M&A activities.

We need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or related large public company experience, with an emphasis in SEC engagements and experience in performing technical accounting research.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting rules and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to recognize unusual trends.
  • Strong work ethic, written and verbal communication skills and drive to learn.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to multi-task and work within strict deadline-oriented environment.

Icing on the cake:

  • CPA certification.
  • SAP and Hyperion Financial Management a plus.
