Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Business Development & Competitive Intelligence Sales Manager to join our team at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

As a Business Development & Competitive Intelligence Sales Manager, you will be responsible for that drives insights-based growth within the Presto Business Unit and reports directly to the Vice President of Sales & Analytics.  You will have the opportunity to:

  • Develops sales plans and budgets for maximizing sales volume while meeting profit margin targets. Responsible for achieving sales revenue, profit and expense goals within a defined geographic area through brokers
  • Interact with existing customers to explore potential sales opportunities including prospecting, presentations, pricing and closing of sales.
  • Analyze competitive intelligence and make strategic sales recommendations based on global market and individual competitor capacity/strategies, competitive manufacturing and innovation capabilities, and SWOT analyses
  • Manage multiple Presto initiatives, including high-profile BU projects such as: Reyvolution Initiatives, Commercial Risk Management (partnering with Contract Manufacturing Team), Network Optimization, Customer Freight Optimization, Competitive Intelligence, and Gap Closers

In this exciting role, you will synthesize competitive intelligence from multiple sources to develop insights, strategies, and points of view on key developments within our industry and at specific customers and translate those insights into implications for RCP.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
  • 7+ years of related professional and progressive experience in sales in the CPG industry.
  • In depth background in multiple channels including food, drug, mass value stores and club
  • Ability for overnight travel on a periodic basis. (20%+)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle

Icing on the cake:

  • Broker management experience 
  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Proficiency with Power BI and/or Tableau
