Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Manager located at our plant in Jacksonville, IL (West).

Your Role:

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will oversee, lead and provide tactical and strategic stewardship of designated key operational initiatives, cross functional business plans, processes/SOP’s to help drive and improve manufacturing efficiencies, reduce overall operating costs and enhance customer satisfaction levels.  

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Analyze, maintain, and improve organizational performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to drive innovative manufacturing solutions.
  • Create an environment of continuous improvement to drive improved business results across the cross-functional areas in a manufacturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively on facilitating enhanced KPI reporting metrics and prescriptive root cause analysis.
  • Work closely with functional leads on areas of innovation, resource availability, cross functional support and project capability scoping exercises.
  • Leverage “Lean”/Six Sigma methodologies across the business landscape to drive standardization and related cost and efficiency synergies.
  • Responsible for strategic initiative projects as appropriate to further drive operational excellence and CI to include:
    • Safety improvements
    • Plant cost savings initiatives
    • 5S implementation and sustainment
    • Value stream mapping
    • Standard Work Development and sustainment
    • Problem solving
    • Quick-change over process development
    • Process capability analysis

Ultimately, you will help in fostering a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of LEAN methodology and supporting framework to deliver business transformation results.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Operations Mgt, Industrial Engineering or Engineering related field
  • 5+ years demonstrated continuous analytical experience in a high-volume CPG business operating environment
  • Prior team management experience; track record of developing, coaching and mentoring a diverse staff
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Solid project management capabilities
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and advanced proficiency in SAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • The ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented and highly collaborative environment

Icing on the cake:

  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (preferred) or training.
