We are searching for an IT Site Support Technician (Temp to Direct Hire) to join our team located at our Pine Bluff, Arkansas location.

Your Role:

As an IT Site Support Technician (Temp to Direct Hire), you will be responsible for providing operational support including all computing devices, peripherals, and common applications. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide support for a manufacturing and warehouse environment as well as a corporate office
  • Perform root cause investigations
  • Train personnel on using technology
  • Provide support for network, printers, and servers

In this exciting role, you will collaborate with people at all levels of the organization and will ensure that our facility’s technology systems are operating correctly so that we may continue to innovate.

 

This is a position that is suited to someone that already has worked in a deskside and site support role. This person must work well with all levels of the business both remotely and in person.

We need you to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience installing network devices, implementing computer devices and peripherals, and troubleshooting processes and devices
  • Certification for computing device and peripheral warranty process and repairs especially in Dell and HP equipment
  • Experience in Microsoft SCCM or similar tool
  • Understanding of Active Directory and how AD ties into system security/permissions to troubleshoot cross-system issues
  • Manages all aspects of break/fix and service requests assigned to their area of responsibility including assignment, ticket documentation, customer interaction, working with other teams, etc. to resolve within expected quality and SLOs/SLAs.
  • Experienced with installing network devices and troubleshooting related issues with the support of more experienced team members or per documentation
  • 2+ years experience with implementing and supporting a variety of computing devices and peripherals used both in an office, manufacturing, and warehouse environment.
  • Experienced in Microsoft SCCM or similar tool to deploy computing device images and applications.
  • Full understanding of Change Management as it pertains to what constitutes a change in a site support operation. Demonstrated experience in creating change records correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Provides assistance on projects at the guidance of the Project Lead or other technical experts.
  • Experience being on a team that follows a Problem Management process to gather information to determine root cause.
  • Experienced with troubleshooting local server related issues; file & print, application connection, security, etc., with the support of more experienced team members or per documentation
  • Experienced with troubleshooting network printer issues with the support of more experienced team members or per documentation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and consistently, both in written or verbal form, with all levels.
  • Basic understanding of common business processes and functions that leads to sound IT recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with people at all levels with patience, understanding, and professionalism. Builds trust with customer base and IT.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow thru on small assignments and escalate to the right person, as needed. Willing to do what is needed, in a professional manner, to get the job done.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and how AD ties into system security/permissions to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to use monitoring tools to gain insight into the health of IT infrastructure and computing devices.
  • Experienced in using an ITSM tool to perform daily tasks and reporting; Remedy, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Computer Science Bachelors degree preferred
  • Microsoft – MCSA/MCSE – Windows 7/ 8, Server 2007/2012
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, warehouse, and corporate headquarter environment is a plus
  • Experience with using other IT related tools; SCOM, Nagios, Netcool, Nedi, Active Role Server, etc. is a plus
  • Experience using project management tools and methodology is a plus
  • Certified for computing device and peripheral warranty process and repairs especially in Dell and HP equipment.
  • Candidate will support multiple locations and participate in project work; travel is required and could be both within the area they live and in another state. (estimated at 25%).
  • Reliable team player with willingness to backfill co-workers and participate in technical project tasks
  • Available outside normal business hours to handle escalations or project tasks as required.
  • Adheres to all provided policies and processes.
  • Provide accurate accounting of all work performed in order to record this information in a time keeping system.
  • This can be a very physical job, at times.
  • Person should be able to lift 50 lbs, as needed
  • Must be able to walk long distances within a location in a timely manner, as needed
  • Must be able to sit or stand, as needed, for periods of time
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, or crouch, as needed
  • Ability to work in varying temperature ranges, on occasion.

Icing on the cake:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, warehouse, and corporate headquarter environment
  • Experience using IT related tools; SCOM, Nagios, Netcool, Nedi, Active Role Server, etc.
  • Experience using project management tools and methodology
