Your Role:

As a Sales Director, Recycling Facilities and Sustainable Products, it will be your responsibility to identify and develop municipal recycling facilities (MRF) acceptance for the stream of hard to recycle plastics collected from consumers in the Hefty EnergyBag. Currently, the expansion of the program is constrained to existing pyrolysis end-markets. Our goal is to rapidly expand this program nationally. This individual will play a vital role in identifying MRF partners who will accept EnergyBag materials, separate it and assist in diverting it to established end market providers.

 

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify obstacles to the acceptance of the EnergyBag materials. Develop solutions to resolve the obstacles to acceptance. Develop selling program to elicit MRF support.
  • Identify obstacles to hauler acceptance of the EnergyBag materials. Develop solutions to resolve the obstacles to acceptance. Develop selling program to elicit hauler support.
  • Identify and create any necessary pre-processing required or handling protocols for the optimal intake of the EnergyBag material which may vary by end-market location and processor
  • Working with marketing and legal departments, recommend and develop partnerships with selected MRFs and haulers.
  • Work with MRFs and haulers to create communication programs for municipalities.
  • Work with marketing to execute citywide launches and communication / trial vehicles
  • With Manufacturing & Engineering, analyzes program costs, i.e. product costs, prototyping costs, project capital & timing etc.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and confidentiality of the project file systems i.e. databases, project plans, product technical drawings etc.
  • Projects will require up to 70% travel to support each program i.e., manufacturing facilities, end market plants, etc.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 8+ years of related professional and progressive Sales experience
  • Experience working with multiple channels including food, drug, mass value stores, and club
  • Prior team management experience
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Office, including Excel

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or another advanced degree
  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
