If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Logistics Manager located at our manufacturing facility in Lewiston, UT.

The Logistics Manager is responsible to oversee the movement, distribution and storage of materials. This position will develop and implement tactical logistics programs as well as redesign and develop shipping processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and cultivate a continuous improvement culture. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet delivery expectations of our customers with accurate shipments of product on dates promised.
  • Minimize raw material inventory through JIT initiatives by partnering with our vendors in a win-win mentality that increases our inventory turns and reduces overhead.
  • Prepare and maintain budget data. Monitor monthly balances and update as needed.
  • Take an active role in supporting efforts in safety leadership and participation in safety programs.
  • Perform work in a safe manner that protects and promotes the health and wellbeing of the individual and the environment.
  • Coach, develop and train team members in warehouse operations including forklift driving certifications and technical knowledge of warehouse systems.
  • Develop and manage distribution budget and results including cost per load, productivity and variable expenses.
  • In locations where applicable, responsible to comply with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
  • MBA or other advance degree a plus.
  • 3+ years of related professional and progressive logistics experience.
  • Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching and mentoring a diverse staff.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.

Icing on the cake:

  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • Warehouse management experience
