Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for an Indirect Procurement Buyer to join our team in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

The Indirect Procurement Buyer oversees the purchasing of manufacture equipment and facility services for operations across Reynolds Consumer Products. This role owns RFx process working with internal customers to have detailed requirements for the goods and services, evaluate quote and negotiate purchase agreements with new and existing vendors. The procurement buyer provide perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities, while also driving innovation and integration of new vendor technologies and company initiatives for new product design and manufacturing.

 You will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop, implement and drive category and vendor strategies using market and competitive data. Continuously optimize category through spend reduction and/or value enhancement and risk mitigation.
  • Own RFx processes from creation to completion to generate and analyze multiple viable bids and timely execution of contracts.

  • Collaborate across departments during SOW development and respective vendor auditing/vetting. Attend off-site vendor tours/audits as needed.

  • Qualify and select vendors that are most suitable to deliver high quality products and services at competitive pricing. On-going manage vendor performance metrics.

  • Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company

  • Create monthly performance reviews and reports focusing on overall sourcing requirements and continuous improvement

  • Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transaction.

  • Manage projects, track activity planning and monitor supplier development schedules; work proactively to highlight risks and identify potential impact to delivery schedules

  • Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to complete work projects with speed and accuracy, often under pressure and/or short deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with general supervision. Must be proactive, have a good follow through skills and work effectively as a team player.

Ultimately, you will provide perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities, while also driving innovation and integration of new vendor technologies and company initiatives for new product design and manufacturing.

We need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Operations, Business, Engineering and/or Supply Chain
  • 3-5 plus years of progressively responsible job-related experience
  • CPG manufacturing experiences in equipment & services buying is required.
  • High proficiency in MS Office
