If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Functional Supply Planning Manager located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

As a Functional Supply Planning Manager, you will work hands-on to define optimal total supply chain solutions, develop financial impacts, and utilize a variety of systems to achieve goals. You will be focused on training and continuous improvement of master scheduling and deployment processes. You will be responsible to collaborate and serve as the liaison with other business and functional teams. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Utilize a variety of systems to provide analysis for “what-if” request for network changes, defines optimal total supply chain solutions, and develops financial impact for customer sourcing impacts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the Supply Planning tool and conduct training sessions across supply planning teams.
  • Collaborate and serve as liaison with business and functional teams to facilitate understanding of forecast and budget. Tracks supply planning initiatives, synergies and supports variance analysis.
  • Recommend and present findings and recommendations to all levels of management.
  • Build and support project plans and continuous improvement initiative. Includes defining impacts to product distribution and evaluating impact of business driven go to market changes.
  • Recommend improvements to supply chain metrics and performance standards using research, supplier relationships, industry knowledge and best business practices.
  • Build and support project plans for implementation. Includes defining impacts to product distribution and evaluating impact of business driven go to market changes.
  • Ensure inventory plans are established in conjunction with demand plans and manufacturing processes to meet business needs.
  • Lead troubleshooting and problem resolution for planning issues impacting service.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field.
  • 6+ years of related professional and progressive experience in supply chain in a multi-facility environment utilizing MPS, CPP, and MRP.
  • Prior team management experience combined with a proven record of accomplishment of developing, coaching and mentoring a diverse supply chain team.
  • Proficient in SAP and operational master data.
  • Proficient in Logility and/or Blue Yonder and/or Supply Planning tool.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis (5%).

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or other advanced degree, a plus.
  • APICS certification preferred.
