If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for an Engineering Technician to join our team located in Tamaqua, PA.

Your Role:

As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the 3D printing capability for the three manufacturing sites in the Hefty Business Unit. You will be responsible for providing direct technical hands-on support to maintenance teams. This role is responsible for running and becoming the leading expert on 3D printing at three separate sites, establishing a requisition system for the 3D printing, and finding additional 3D printing opportunities. You will also work with the maintenance teams to leverage additional capabilities from our Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maintenance Connection). You will have the opportunity to:

  • Solidworks or equivalent 3D modeling experience.
  • 3D printing experience.
  • Basic metallurgy properties and characteristics knowledge.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Interest in new and emerging technologies.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Very organized record keeping.

We need you to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with SLA, Extruded, and Powder Bed printing- Metal a plus.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining 3D printers.
  • Experience with different types of 3D slicing software.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarization with parts room procedures and operations.
  • Ability to travel (25%).

Icing on the cake:

  • Associates degree or Trade school diploma in Mechanical field.
