We are searching for an Automation & Electrical Engineer to join our manufacturing team at our facility in Huntersville, NC. 

Your Role:

As an Automation and Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for working with state-of-the-art automated packaging machinery and will incorporate programmable logic controllers (PLC), servo systems, sensors, cameras, and other automation components. We embrace and accept individual experiences and backgrounds to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Design and optimize complete PLC-based control systems for automated packaging.
  • Generate electrical drawing packages.
  • Conduct operation and maintenance training.
  • Control circuit, wiring, troubleshooting, and construction.

Ultimately, you will play a vital role in our company and will help us to automate our equipment and processes and make them more efficient, including the ability to improve up time and reduce scrap production. We need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or a 2-year trade school degree in Electrical or Process control engineering.
  • Experience with PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and control systems design.
  • Understanding of power distribution for medium sized machinery.
  • Very knowledgeable about electrical troubleshooting using a voltmeter.

Icing on the cake:

  • Prior experience with new machinery installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience using AutoCad and Allen Bradley Controllogix.
  • Hardware and software skills with these platforms: Opto 22 PAC controllers, Allen Bradley MicroLogix, SLC and ControlLogix processors, Siemens Simatic manager.
