We are searching for a Senior Director of Sales & Marketing- Presto Specialty to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.
Your Role:
The Senior Director of Sales & Marketing- Presto Specialty reports to the Business Unit Vice President and is responsible for the overall strategy, leadership, business development, growth, and execution of Reynolds Consumer Products (Presto) sales initiatives. The Senior Director will establish the long-range planning and attainment of sales goals and objectives to achieve return on investment and maximum profitability of the division. This position provides leadership, subject matter expertise and influence across RCP by setting business expectations for the creation of new business development/ opportunities that support RCP’s long-term strategy. The incumbent is also a key participant in overall BU long term strategic planning. We embrace and accept individual experiences and backgrounds to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the business unit sales organization to meet current sales targets as well as set sales results of the business unit for future growth and prosperity.
- Implement and report on the business unit sales strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are understood and executed by the team while maintaining the quality of:
- The overall sales strategy of the company.
- The company's top level operational sales plan.
- All operational plans driving towards the company sales goal.
- Direct sales staff and activities in regards to developing plans and establishing policies and objectives for sales functions in accordance with the overall strategic objectives of organization.
- Direct a matrix sales organization to ensure cross business unit resources are executing specific sales programs within agreed upon parameters.
- Present budget to BU leadership for approval and prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines.
- Confer with BU leadership to plan sales objectives, to develop sales policies and to coordinate functions.
- Evaluate the market position of competing products, services, and organizations and their marketing and sales techniques.
- Devise sales strategies and promotions to obtain maximum sales volume.
- Provide guidance and leadership for Presto Specialty Business Development, Marketing, and Product Management teams.
- Manage Presto Specialty Customer Service Team, responsible for creating delight for our customers from order through product delivery.
- Spearhead and assure flawless execution of the strategic business initiatives.
- Support the overall process of management and decision making to ensure the business unit maximizes its short, medium, and long-term profitability.
- Manage the overall business development function including:
- Positively impact the profitability of the business unit through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and business development results.
- Develop and lead the business development team in sourcing, managing, and implementing new business opportunities.
- May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
- Assure disciplined and structured sales environment is created and maintained.

We need you to have:
- BA/BS degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of related professional and progressive Sales experience in the CPG industry.
- 5+ years at an Executive level in Sales Management.
- In depth experience of multiple channels including’ food, drug, mass value stores and club.
- Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching and mentoring a professional sales staff.
- Knowledge and thorough in-depth understanding of P&L management, business strategy, and sales management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
- Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
- Self-driven, motivated, and results oriented with proven ability to identifying and close new opportunities, building relationships, and exceeding sales goals.
- Comfortable working with and gaining the trust of many prominent and affluent individuals including executives and business partners.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close complex deals.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
- Ability to travel regularly on an overnight basis.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Icing on the cake:
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Experience in CPG Sales management.
- In depth background in multiple channels including food, drug, mass value stores - Broker Management experience.
