If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for an IT Site Support Technician I to join our team located at our facility located in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

As an IT Site Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing operational support including all computing devices, peripherals, and common applications. We embrace and accept individual experiences and backgrounds to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide support for a manufacturing and warehouse environment as well as a corporate office.
  • Perform root cause investigations, and train personnel on technology use.
  • Provide support for network, printers, and servers.
  • Manage all aspects of break/fix and service requests assigned to their area of responsibility including assignment, ticket documentation, customer interaction, working with other teams, etc. to resolve within expected quality and SLOs/SLAs.
  • Provide assistance on projects with direction from the Project Lead or other technical experts.
  • Responsible for execution on small projects or leading technical portions of projects for sites they are directly responsible.
  • Lead root cause investigation on impacted area of responsibility.

We need you to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified for computing device and peripheral warranty process and repairs especially in Dell and HP equipment.
  • 7+ years' experience installing network devices and troubleshooting related issues.
  • 3+ years' experience implementing and supporting a variety of computing devices and peripherals.
  • 3+ years' experience troubleshooting local server and network related issues.
  • Experience in Microsoft SCCM or similar tool to deploy computing device images and applications.
  • Moderate understanding of common business processes and functions that leads to sound IT recommendations.
  • Ability to travel (25%).

Icing on the cake:

  • Computer Science Bachelors degree.
  • Certified for computing device and peripheral warranty process and repairs especially in Dell and HP equipment.
  • Experience using IT related tools; SCOM, Nagios, Netcool, Nedi, Active Role Server, etc.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, warehouse, and corporate headquarter environment.
  • Experience using project management tools and methodology.
