We are searching for a Senior Global Commercialization Manager to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

As a Senior Global Commercialization Manager, you will be responsible for managing commercialization projects for the Reynolds’ businesses. The scope can be from line extension to full development projects that can span domestic and international contract manufacturers. This role will be responsible for leadership and oversight of commercial Contract Manufacturing organizations (CMO’s), and other third-party suppliers. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Requires the ability and knowledge to string together multiple manufacturing paths, often with multiple Contract Manufacturers (CM’s), to deliver the desired product to the businesses. Must be able to craft and manage these complicated symbiotic relationships with both internal and external resources.
  • Must be able to interact seamlessly with the marketing and business teams, with the ability to translate their needs into actionable steps to launch commercial products.
  • Lead very large teams (+20 members) to commercialize new products and line extensions. Requires deep knowledge in all substrates, production processes, and packaging to make our products. The commercial teams’ focus includes: a) movement of products to external manufacturing; b) new products; or c) line extensions. These are for Cooking, Tableware, Waste & Storage, Presto, Canada, and the International Businesses. Requires expertise to work through various language barriers, cultures, and time zones.
  • Host weekly/monthly calls with the CM’s and a broad swath of Reynolds personnel to resolve issues and ensure clarity of communication and timing of project deliverables. Is responsible for course correcting and finding solutions to resolve any issues or changes to production timing. This includes the authority to authorize extra expenditures by the company to overcome project hurdles.
  • Must be well grounded with a deep understanding of our internal processes and steps required to move a product from concept all the way to the customer’s shelf. This often will require very creative solutions as much of the process is outside our own manufacturing facilities.
  • Must have ability to analyze and draw conclusions from multiple quotes and sources.
  • Must be able to interact with a very diverse Global Commercialization team that is involved and managing an extremely wide portfolio of manufacturing, business analytics, and products, without being overwhelmed or bogged down with multiple priorities and projects.
  • Able to operate in areas that are not well defined and have the confidence and creativity to build the path to operational success.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 10-15+ years of related professional and progressive project management experience.
  • 10-15+ years prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a diverse workforce.
  • Expert in CPG products and key business drivers related to successful product development and launch.
  • Deep knowledge of business systems related to project management (SAP item setup, artwork development, packaging development, etc.).
  • Proficient with requisition functions in SAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with various production equipment and testing methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate complicated subjects and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong sense of curiosity and desire to learn and teach.
  • Extremely organized and a master of juggling multi-requests and inquiries and responding promptly with answers, updates, and information.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Expert analytical skills as well as organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Expert project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Able to travel, often alone, including internationally.
  • A commitment to excellence and continuous improvement with experience in various Continuous Improvement Processes and initiatives (i.e. 5S, Value Stream, Six Sigma, TPM, AQL).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
