Pay: $26.25

Your Role:

  • Assist the Shift Supervisor with the quarantine / disposition of any defective product as needed

     

  • Audit operators performing various quality related task

     

  • Coach/train operators in all quality related task and SPC as needed

     

  • Review SPC data, identify errors or failure notices and train operators to identify and correct

     

  • Assist Shift Supervisor in identifying quality related training opportunities for operating personnel

     

  • Assist Shift Supervisor with communicating non-poly and raw material defects

     

  • Perform random quality checks on finished product

     

  • Enter QAS data related to the quality systems auditor position

     

  • Audit compliance of customer/certifier requirements

     

  • Assist the Shift Supervisor with quality investigations

We need you to have:

  • Must be detailed oriented and demonstrate a concern for accuracy
  • Must have the ability to work with associates at all levels; and provide effective formal/informal coaching and training
  • Some computer skills helpful; proficiency in QAS, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written with all levels of the organization
  • Must have an excellent working knowledge of quality procedures and specifications
  • Must have high school diploma or the equivalent
  • At least 1 year work experience in manufacturing / production within the plant (Prior quality experience helpful)

*Associates who wish to apply must not have a current (less than one year old) Step 2 corrective action in their file, must have fewer than 4.5 attendance incidents at the time of the posting, and must be in their current role (LTO, Operator, R2, etc.) for greater than 6-months. *

 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that will be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand and walk.  The job frequently requires the employee to push and pull up to 15 pounds of force; reach forward and above the shoulders; bend and twist, climb stairs, frequently turn wrists, and grip/grasp an object, type on a keyboard, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally carry/move up to 32 pounds. The employee will also occasionally be required to lift objects up to 35 pounds.  Occasionally the employee will be asked to stoop/squat, kneel/crawl, climb scaffolding, and sit.  The ability to have controlled use of both hands and both feet and have balance/coordination intact is required.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, mid-range, and distance vision including color, depth, and fields.  Physical demands may also include ability to withstand extreme heat and moderate cold temperatures.   

 

Icing on the cake:

  • Knowledge of quality test equipment
  • Prior experience with implementation of Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) plans
  • Ability to interpret product specifications, bills of materials, and pallet diagrams
