We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to join our team located in Huntersville, NC.

Your Role:

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for providing focus, definition, and technical expertise for the development of a proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety plan that is consistent with Reynolds’ corporate policies, vision, and values; and is in compliance with local, state, and federal Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager regulations. This position will inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Maintain updated OSHA and EPA required written programs and develop/conduct training as necessary.
  • Oversee the reporting and investigations of any potential injury, accident, and/or health and safety related issues.
  • Oversee the necessary environmental, health, and safety training to support and enhance the organization’s safety culture.
  • Develop and deploy policies, procedures, programs to support best-practice and identify best-practices with the Reynold’s system.
  • Provide communication and training to plant management, establish and maintain communications, reporting, assessments, training programs, and guidance.
  • Work with Corporate EHS departments and provide prioritized direction and technical expertise to the engineering organizations or contractors in implementing EHS projects.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, or technical discipline or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive and related professional health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
  • Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Well-developed leadership and motivational skills with proven ability to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.

Icing on the cake:

  • Certifications in Health & Safety.
  • MBA or Masters level degree.
  • Environmental experience.
