We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Manager of Regional Warehousing to join our team located in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

The Senior Manager of Regional Warehousing will report to the Warehouse Director and manage a team of 2-5 direct reports covering a region of several warehouses.  This individual will also be responsible for 3PL, capacity planning and warehouse operations to ensure we are operating with safe, effective, and efficient processes. This position is responsible for making recommendations to improve productivity, quality and efficiency to the company’s operations. 

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Implements the business plan for assigned area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties and coordinating workloads in order to achieve warehouse objectives.
  • Oversees Warehouse operations, activities and budget performance within multi-site regional responsibility
  • Reviews, recommends, develops and implements changes in distribution operation and talent processes following Lean methodologies
  • Identifies associate, customer, and supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others when needed to determine corrective action to take or make recommendations in order to resolve concerns.
  • Work with warehouse management team to ensure all processes and procedures are followed in accordance with company policy.  Includes, but not limited to; Inbound Receiving – Receive the paperwork and ensure physically stored in the right place, Cycle Adjustments – Correct reason codes are used and understand they why of the adjustment, Requisitions/Transfer Orders/Sales Orders – Complete on a weekly basis and ensure material flow matches and Seek improvements to streamline processes and gain efficiencies. Drive inventory accuracy.
  • Monitors and manages productivity of assigned area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing and analyzing business reports.
  • Maintains quality and safety standards in assigned area of responsibility by ensuring employees are trained on logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures; monitoring compliance with logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures; distributing and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Supervises and develops employees and leaders in assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties and coordinating workloads, monitoring performance and providing feedback; identifying training and development needs; and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates and leaders.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business or a related field
  • 8+ years of supply chain experience including working with centralized supply chain functions
  • Prior team management experience
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience using SAP

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or another advanced degree
  • Prior experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
