We are searching for a Global Sourcing Manager-Indirect MRO to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

As a Global Sourcing Manager-Indirect MRO, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing of indirect spend in Maintenance, Repair, and Operations category for 14 plants and approximately $100M of spend.  Under the direction of the Sr. Sourcing Manager, Indirect, this individual will develop and lead execution of sourcing strategies and projects for the assigned categories.  

The assigned scope is generally broad in nature over multiple sites and business units, and will partner closely across functions within each BU.  Implementation activities include overall sourcing execution, market intelligence data gathering, RFx, financial data modeling and analysis, complex negotiations, project management, legal supplier contract development, procurement aspects of supplier qualification, risk mitigation programs, and appropriate implementation of the source-to-pay process inclusive of customer-centric support content and preferred payment methods and supplier relationship management.

  • Work closely with various functions to drive project initiatives against strategy and plan
  • Compile specifications and business requirements to develop bid packages for competitive events 
  • Regularly monitor and analyze market, competitive data,  and pricing trends to identify bid or negotiation  opportunities
  • Regularly monitor compliance with strategic direction and policies
  • Coordinate supplier management activities and execute supplier compliance activities for assigned suppliers

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for contributing the indirect category teams in the development, communication and approval of sourcing strategies, collecting and providing business requirements and supply market information and supply practices.

We need you to have:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree is required –Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the Procurement discipline in a large, internationally scaled, multi-plant manufacturing organization.
  • Experience in managing spends of at least $50MM per year in indirect materials  
  • Experience/capability in leading cross-functional teams to implement supplier change and/or cost savings initiatives across a large, complex supplier base and a geographically diverse plant network.
  • Demonstrated expertise in procurement category management, supplier relationship
  • SAP experience

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Experience in the consumer product goods (CPG) industry
  • Multiple language knowledge and multiple country experience
