We are searching for a Director of Customer Marketing to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

As a Director of Customer  & Trade Marketing, you will be responsible for driving optimal efficiency of trade spending through customer and product prioritization, deliver an accurate forecast, and efficiently utilizing production resources. In this strategic role you will play a critical part in achieving Hefty #1 Everywhere by building Customer strategy to drive share through leading portfolio management and pricing and spending strategy.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead, develop, and improve customer event analytics and customer level strategic plans
  • Optimize waste bag portfolio spend against customer and product portfolio
  • Provide direction, funding, and budgetary control to field sales managers
  • Analyze and report conditions occurring within the marketplace

In this exciting and strategically critical role, you will have a direct impact on the company by improving our customer marketing effectiveness and changing our tactics to align with market conditions.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • 5+ years of broad marketing experience (Brand, Customer, Category)
  • 2+ years of working with Trade spend
  • Ability to travel regularly (including overnights)
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Experience using SAP

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or another advanced degree
  • Experience including trade management, key account, and field sales responsibility
  • Experience working with a broker sales force
