This position will be co-located out of our Lake Forest corporate headquarters and our Appleton, Wisconsin manufacturing plant.

Your Role:

The Vice President/General Manager, Presto Specialty is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership within their assigned business unit.  This role must be committed to achieving the highest standards of business performance, customer satisfaction, new product design, innovation, quality, delivery, and solid financial results.  Ultimately, the Business Unit President is responsible for development, marketing and B2B sales of our flexible packaging product. We embrace and accept individual experiences and backgrounds to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace. 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide visible and informed leadership, and manage all aspects of profit and loss, quality, safety, Sales, Marketing and R&D.
  • Establish a vision, strategy and plan to achieve both short and long-term Business Unit transformation.
  • Leverage research and development to grow the business with profitable, organic and innovative initiatives that reflect design, quality, sourcing, speed and cost advantage.
  • Deliver consistent year on year growth through the implementation of customer acquisition and new segment entry strategies.
  • Drive timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the senior executives in performing their responsibilities.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • 20+ years of progressively responsible general management career in B2B or CPG.
  • 10+ years of experience in flexible packaging.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strategic mindset; visionary.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or another advanced degree a plus.
  • Familiarity with large automated integrated systems (SAP, JDE, etc.) a plus.
