Your Role:

The Training Specialist will work closely with the Plant Training Manager to support the continuous training and development of employees within their facility. The role is responsible for the training of both new hires and incumbent employees on job skills and competencies.  We embrace and accept individual experiences and backgrounds to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace. 

You will have the opportunity to:

• Ensure successful training of all new and incumbent employees.   
• Assist in the design, development, and improvement of employee training programs, including but not limited to role-specific training and capability development.  
• Check-in with new hires on a regular basis; address issues and escalate as needed to the HR Manager. 
• Partner with Supervisors to plan ongoing skill development training. 
• Report on training completion (Level Books).

We need you to have:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related professional and progressive Human Resource experience. 
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically Word and PowerPoint. 
• Detail and process oriented. 
• Innovative thinker - seeks innovative solutions to new and existing business problems. 
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups of employees and one-on-one. 
• Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers. 
• Positive attitude and a high level of energy. 
• Ability to be discreet with confidential information and sensitive issues. 

Icing on the cake:

• BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
