We are searching for a Test / Quality Engineer to join our team located at our location in Richmond,VA.

Your Role:

As a Test / Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in developing, evaluating, and optimizing the production, quality, safety, and profitability of household and food service food management products made by and for Reynolds throughout the world. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Evaluate competitive and outsourced products
  • Conduct product quality audits from internal and external sources
  • Work directly with lab technicians to ensure integrity of test procedures and data
  • Assist with development and authoring of product specifications

Ultimately, you will perform testing and data analysis to assist in product and process development, quality improvements, and cost reduction efforts.

We need you to have:

  • BS degree in materials science, engineering, packaging technology, or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a materials science

  • Excellent technical report writing and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze and summarize test results

  • Experience with physical and mechanical properties measurement and lab equipment (specifically Instron or other tensile testers)

  • Technical knowledge of metals, polymers, paper, and other materials used in food management products and packaging

  • Expertise with MS Office and experience with data acquisition systems

Icing on the cake:

  • Experience using CAD or related software
  • Prior experience in a similar role
