We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Materials and Process Engineer to join our team at our highly automated plant in Appleton, WI.

Your Role:

As a Senior Materials & Process Engineer, you will assist and lead R&D or Manufacturing projects for new product development, product enhancements, and cost reductions.  You will also work closely with Materials & Technology Engineering Manager and various key stakeholders to support and grow the Presto Consumer business unit.  

 You will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop & implement new or enhanced formulations for waste bags, food contact bags, and plastic wrap products
  • Craft detailed work orders for product development or improve existing manufacturing processes
  • Evaluate performance of key products with national brands and other store brand products and share insights with key stakeholders
  • Create product specifications for new/updated products that are manufactured internally and externally

We need you to have:

  • BS in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional and progressive experience in plant operations
  • Experience using statistical tools for problem solving
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes and initiatives such as 5S, Six Sigma, Value Streams, and TPM

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Experience in polyethylene back-making environment
