Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you!  We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Extrusion Engineer in Bellwood, VA. 

The Senior Extrusion Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing control of the manufacturing processes for optimizing the production of a nylon-extruded product; this includes identifying, designing and recommending innovative processes, operational procedures and equipment for new and existing production equipment. This position requires the ability to work with people across the manufacturing spectrum including R&D, production staff, equipment suppliers, contractors and management.   • Direct and design capital projects ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget and within project specifications.
  • Assist Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting in the event of machinery problems.
  • Provide on-call support for maintenance issues.
  • Provide safety assessments with solutions and recommendations for equipment and processes at all facilities.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations of equipment and processes to increase productivity and reduce manning through automation.
  • Coordinate subcontractors. Insure all company policies are followed and oversee jobsite safety.
  • Source equipment and purchase as necessary.

We need you to have:

  • BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years experience in an engineering management or consulting role for blown film extrusion process.
  • 10+ years of experience in an extrusion-manufacturing environment utilizing nylon.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting extrusion production equipment strongly desired.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams developing and updating specifications, procedures, and other written programs.
