Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a Senior Engineer to join our team located Jacksonville, IL, WEST.

Your Role:

The Senior Engineer manages capital projects and coordinates with process engineering to improve operations for one of our designated manufacturing plants. The position requires an engineer with a passion to meticulously plan cost and timing, manage implementation, startup and spending all while providing thorough communications with the plant to insure buy-in, customer satisfaction and project success.

  • Administer capital projects up to $1.0MM including defining scope, providing justification, submitting for approval and ensuring project timelines are met and executed flawlessly. 
  • Prepare project updates and action plans.
  • Ensure quality assurance guidelines and procedures are followed.
  • Monitor and control project costs.
  • Coordinate capital plan by working with plant engineering and operations to establish priorities on current and future capital.
  • Participate in process development- actively promote plant initiatives and insure group priorities are in support of plant vision.
  • Drive multiple projects to achieve scope, timeline and spending plan while balancing operational and business needs.
  • Manage engineer project teams to ensure project goals are met.

We need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline, required
  • 3-5 years Engineering experience, required
  • Prior experience managing large scale, big budget projects

Icing on the cake:

  • Plastics manufacturing background, especially in Blown Film Extrusion, a plus
  • Demonstrated process engineering experience with operational improvements, a plus
  • Understanding of SAP and CMMS system software
