Your Role:

The Quality Manager is responsible for promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization. This position will develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company's Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Effectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products. 
  • Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers. 
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation. 
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures. 
  • Liaise with customers' auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications. 
  • Establish standards of service for customers or clients. 
  • Prepare explanatory documents such as customers' charters. 
  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. 
  • Organize and manage quality assurance function in close co-operation with the customers and with the Company's Management team (Member of Management Team). 
  • Identify relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training. 
  • Collate and analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters. 
  • Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary. 
  • Supervise technical staff in carrying out tests and checks. 
  • Write technical and management systems reports. 
  • Manage and maintain the Company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods or implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC. 
  • Assess product specifications of the company and its suppliers and compare with customer requirements. 
  • In locations where applicable, responsible to comply with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering or Statistics, or related field. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance environment. 
  • Experience in quality systems and standards, inspection sampling methods, auditing, and manufacturing processes. 
  • Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching and mentoring a diverse staff. 
  • Proficient in MS Office. 
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and challenge a diverse group of managers and leaders to achieve/exceed performance expectations. 
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with strong attention to detail. 

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred. 
  • Proficient in SAP or Oracle a plus. 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or training. 
  • Ability to maintain ASQ CQIA, CQPA, or CQE certifications or achieve within 18 months of entry into position.  Maintain skills through experience, certification, and outside training.
