We currently have an opportunity for a Production Shift Supervisor to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Wheeling, IL.

Your Role:

As a Production Shift Supervisor, you will lead plant production and will be responsible for maximizing safety, quality, and productivity while also minimizing cost.  You will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage and support safety programs
  • Complete safety audits
  • Coach and develop hourly workforce
  • Manage and approve timekeeping for hourly workforce through SAP
  • Support lean and continuous improvement projects
  • Develop strategic initiatives and operating goals for the plant
  • Ensure production schedule, material usage, and output requirements are met
  • Hire and train employees as well as appraise their performance
  • Work to your maximum potential and help others do the same
  • Must be able to work nights (12-hour shift) 6 PM to 6 AM

Preferred Skills

  • Bi-lingual
  • Prior SAP experience
  • Safety Auditor background
  • Prior experience in a metal or packaging manufacturing environment
  • Union experience.

We need you to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of related professional and progressive manufacturing experience
  • Previous supervision experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Proficiency in SAP, Kronos, and Gensuite

Icing on the cake:

  • BA/BS degree in Operations Management, Business, or a related field
  • Prior team management experience including coaching a diverse staff
  • Bilingual skills
