We are searching for an IT Manager, Network Operations, to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role

The  IT Manager, Network Operations will report directly to the RCP Director of IT Operations, and provide the direction for building and running Reynolds Consumer Products’ on-premise and Cloud Hosted Network services. The role will have full accountability for daily operations of the Network Infrastructure, processes, technologies and service providers’ relationships while partnering with business unit and other functional stakeholders.

The Network service will be developed with adherence to RCP policies, relevant industry frameworks, regulatory, compliance and operational performance requirements. The Network Services Manager will be accountable for all aspects of the delivery of Network services, including:

  • Managing operational activities and providing oversight and direction for the operation and support of IT Network systems
  • Performing as subject matter advisor and serving as point of escalation and become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems
  • Managing issues proactively, including timely resolution and the identification of remediation opportunities. Identifying and resolving systemic issues to prevent them from repeating
  • Creating and maintaining internal documentation to bring consistency, repeatability and efficiency to the day-to-day operations
  • Establishing and maintaining standard operating procedures to maximize efficiency and measure key performance indicators, consistently working to improve those metrics
  • Reviewing and approving any request prioritizations.  Partnering with managed service providers ensuring delivery against agreed upon service levels and striving to continually improve overall service delivery of operational activities
  • Driving the adoption of and commitment towards service improvements
  • Establishing credibility with partners while managing expectations. Ensuring frequent and effective communications with team members, within IT, and with stakeholders to set expectations and negotiate priorities appropriately, via both formal and informal channels
  • Participating in development of newer technologies to include automation, cloud technologies and on-prem solutions working closely with cross-teams to deliver desired business outcomes
  • Remaining current on industry best practices & emerging technologies.  Evaluating their usefulness and applicability to the RCP environment.  Recommending and proposing options with pros/cons and risk, and working with stakeholders to finalize the best solution that meets business needs

We need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar areas of study, or a directly related field with 10 or more years of work experience
  • 10+ years’ work experience in an IT delivery role, preferably in Network Solutions
  • Ability to assess and communicate Network concepts and practices, with both business and IT stakeholders
  • Experience with outsourced vendor and vendor contract management, including SLA review
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
  • Knowledge of Cisco routing/switching technologies (or equivalent), traffic engineering, and experience interpreting and taking action on alert management and performance management reports
  • Prior experience of supporting hybrid multi-cloud environments, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and on-premises solutions
  • Proven experience in design, implementation and operations of IT Network solutions working with managed services provider(s)
  • Ability to travel 5%

Icing on the Cake:

  • CCNP and / or CCIE certification
  • Certification in Networking or related area from any of the major cloud service providers
