Your Role:

The Extrusion Process Engineer is responsible for developing and evaluating blown film extrusion production processes.  This position will monitor, document, and evaluate the extrusion process in detail to develop, refine and implement operating procedures to improve the overall efficiency of the process.  In addition, the role will maintain equipment record logs, create daily turnover reports, and complete electronic work orders.  Ultimately, you will work with R&D, production staff, equipment suppliers, contractors and management to ensure the system and process runs smoothly.  We embrace and accept individual experiences and backgrounds to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace. You will have the opportunity to: 

  • Research and develop new manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and suggest improvements.
  • Analyze production and machinery line.
  • Record and maintain all equipment operating parameters, data sheets, and Engineering logs.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to work safety.
  • Effectively plan, organize, and delegate work to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Material or Chemical Engineering
  • Certificate of completion or other training development in Safety, Nylon Extrusion, Technical Skills, and Process Improvement a plus.
  • 4+ years’ experience in a blown film extrusion-manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with nylon base materials extrusion a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience troubleshooting extrusion production equipment strongly desired.

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
