We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager located at our facility in Wheeling, IL.

Your Role:

As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, you will provide leadership, counsel, and perform as an effective facilitator to influence the development of a proactive approach to safety, health and environmental issues. You will also be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of EHS programs and procedures and will support our company’s safety culture.  We embrace and accept individual experiences and backgrounds to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead site safety and environmental inspections, audits, and assessments
  • Train and develop EHS Managers
  • Investigate the root cause of incidences and develop corrective action plans
  • Identify and manage risks at plant sites

Ultimately, you will not only maintain our safety culture but will also have the ability to make an impact on people and the environment by proactively influencing EHS laws and regulations.

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Safety Sciences, Environmental Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of related professional and progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Management or Supervisory experience
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Office and SAP

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Professional ASP, CSP, CIH, PE, CHMM certifications
