If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you!  We currently have an opportunity for a Division Mechanical Engineer located at our manufacturing plant in Louisville, KY.

Your Role:

As a Division Mechanical Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the overall engineering direction for the plant. You will provide the planning and execution of both strategic and tactical activities and projects related to the safety and overall OEE for the LFP facility. The position reports directly to the Senior Engineering Manager.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in process area team FMEAs, RCAs, and Safety Taproots
  • Support the daily needs of maintaining plant performance by prioritizing and administrating engineering support to plant maintenance and operations as needed.
  • Support any developmental needs identified within our maintenance organization.
  • Backfill process area mechanical engineers in their absence.
  • Support mechanical design, scope, coordination and execution of projects.
  • Create and/or assist in the development of technical documents to assist maintenance and operations.
  • Update plant mechanical drawings and mechanical specifications.
  • Manage capital projects utilizing project management life cycle.
  • Create capital acquisition requests, project scopes of work, RFQs, process functional specifications, project and life cycle cost estimates, project
    justifications, and manage purchase order requisitions.
  • Communicate effectively in writing, including formulation and review/approval of official and technical correspondence, reports and presentations.
  • Participate and/or facilitate maintainability and design reviews, FAT’s/SAT’s, turnover package reviews and ensure project documentation is accurate, complete and meets specifications.
  • Drive projects to completion while maintaining timeline, budget, and meeting project objectives

We need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (ABET accredited)
  • 5+ years of professional and progressive Plant Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • 5+ years of project management experience required
  • MS Office, AutoCAD, process data analytics software experience required
  • Demonstrated high level competencies of engineering concepts, process control and instrumentation, fluid power, and good engineering practices
  • Heavy industrial equipment experience required
  • Experience in design, installation and troubleshooting of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumping systems, rotating equipment, lubrication, heat exchangers, refrigeration, cooling systems, compressed air
  • Knowledge and application of industry relevant NFPA, ASHRAE, ANSI, ASME and international codes required
  • Experience in annealing, rolling, separating/strip handling, metallurgy, industrial ventilation, filtration, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
    preferred
