We are searching for a Digital Manufacturing Transformation Manager to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Your Role:

As a Digital Manufacturing Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for digital manufacturing innovation, implementation, and optimization across the Presto Business Unit.  Working through individual plants, you will act as transformation manager for all Presto digital manufacturing initiatives.

In this role you will:

  • Work with Presto leadership to turn business needs into Digital Manufacturing/IoT related projects

  • Work with the Presto plants to understand their needs and priorities related to Digital

  • Manufacturing/IOT and understand their level of readiness for implementation.  Help all plants identify gaps and action plans to improve readiness

  • Develop the business case and justification for Digital Manufacturing/IoT projects

  • Coordinate with IT, engineering and other internal and outside resources necessary to help Presto with Digital Manufacturing/IoT projects

  • Develop Standards to ensure consistent application of systems and tools developed

  • Represent Presto in all RCP level Digital Manufacturing/IoT related activities

  • Work with appropriate internal and external resources to develop tracking systems and reporting to demonstrate success level of all IoT projects

  • Define equipment settings and parameters for optimum performance and identify improvement opportunities to establish capable processes.  Work with all Presto plants to drive implementation of these advancements

  • Apply and teach principles to facilitate improvements.  Responsible for the development, scheduling and execution of training outlines to realize improvements and assure safe machine operation, while meeting all quality standards

  • Support the advanced manufacturing philosophy embodied in Digital Manufacturing/IoT, including use of tools such as Lean and Six Sigma

  • Initiate and install sensors and other digital manufacturing systems where identified, to deliver improved decision making capability for plant and corporate leadership teams and shop floor level associates

  • Lead projects for process optimization, productivity, quality, waste minimization, cost and variation reduction.

  • Use trials, DOE and other techniques to support process improvement activities

  • Stay current on the latest technology in blown film, automation, plc, support equipment, etc… to best drive implementation of DM/IoT systems in all plants

  • Manage specific projects to completion and work through plant resources on other projects

  • Recommend and justify new capital equipment

We need you to have:

  • 5+ years of plant leadership experience in a technical/ functional role.
  • Experience in leading transformational initiatives in manufacturing and driving organizational change.
  • Experience with manufacturing data, its effective use to extract critical information to make decisions and focus actions that drive improvement.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%.
