Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Specialist - REMOTE in our Presto Geosystems construction products business unit office located in Appleton, WI.

Your Role:

As a Business Development Specialist - REMOTE, you will be responsible for operating as the business unit inside technical sales lead, managing leads and opportunities in the queue for a fast-paced, innovative company. This is an entry level position, with opportunities for advancement, interacts with and helps new and existing customers solve complex problems. In the first chapter of your journey,

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist the Geosystems team in aspects of existing soil stabilization product support including technical support, customer support, and marketing efforts including occasional trade show participation.
  • Keep current with related technologies and competitive products and systems.
  • Function as a front-line inside technical sales professional for phone and email contact in support of distributors, representatives & customers.
  • Prioritize and manage the lead queue volume effectively, sort, qualify and disseminate marketing and sales leads in a timely manner to Business Development Managers and distributors.
  • Participate in developing customer and distributor surveys and measuring results.
  • Plan for and attend special events including tradeshows and distributor meetings.
  • Work with a distributed team and communicate effectively by IM (Microsoft Teams), phone, and video conference.

We need you to have:

  • B.S. Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Science, Geology, Soils Sciences, Construction Management or related field
  • 1-3 years experience with channel sales, distribution or manufacturer sales
  • Attention to detail and proactive with sales lead follow up
  • Proficiency with MSO and CRM system such as Microsoft Dynamics

Icing on the cake:

  • Experience with geosynthetics industry/products (stabilization, erosion, control applications), B2B marketing/manufacturing/sales, or channel sales
  • Coursework in geotechnical engineering
